The terror of black fungus is spreading in the midst of the corona epidemic. In a viral message, it says
News Claim: The terror of black fungus is spreading in the midst of the corona epidemic. In a viral message, it says "Punjab government has notified the poultry farm as infected area". It is being claimed with this post that black fungus is spreading by eating chicken and an appeal has been made not to eat chicken.
News Verification: It has found that the claim is misleading. NDTV has not reported any such thing and the screenshot is morphed. Also, several health experts have confirmed to us that black fungus or mucormycosis is not contagious, i.e., it cannot spread from contact between humans or animals.
