Chandigarh stalking case: Vikas Barala admits he followed victim's car


New Delhi:  Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala son’s Vikas Barala will be produced in Chandigarh court along with his friend in connection with the stalking case. According to sources, accused Vikas Barala has accepted during interrogation that he was stalking Varnika Kundu’s car. 

On 5th of august Saturday night, Vikas Barala, son of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Haryana unit President Subhash Barala, was arrested on the charges of stalking and harassing an IAS officer's daughter in Chandigarh. He was, however, granted bail on the same day.

Vikas Barala, son of Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala, and the other accused were arrested by the police. Vikas Barla and Ashish Kumar arrived in Chandigarh Sector 26 Police Station yesterday.

Director General of Police Chandigarh Tajender Singh Luthra had said that Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala's son Vikas and his friend Ashish were slapped with charges of abduction.

Under 160 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the case has been filed against vikas Barala under Section 354D (stalking), 341 (wrongful restraint), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 185 MV Act (rash driving) the report was filed to both the accused.

Both the accused Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar were first arrested last week on Friday night in this case but they were released as they were booked for bailable offences at that time.
