Seven national and 35 of the 48 state recognised parties attending ECI meet

New Delhi: Today different political parties are attending a meeting called up by Election Commission, based on the allegation of EVM tampering. The meeting will also focus on proposed electoral reforms. Todays meeting will be attended by 7 national and 35 out of 48 recognised political parties.

The Election Commission of India also informed the political parties of having received funds for voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT).

The date of the hackathon would be decided today after the meeting.

Apart from this the ECI officer also made a detailed demonstration of the EVM machines.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) requested the Election Commission to make all party committee and to give access to the EVM machines used in the recent elections.

Earlier This week AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj gave a live demonstration in the Delhi Assembly on how to hack the EVM. it would be really interesting to see in the future of AAP party can be able to replicate the Delhi Assembly hack on the real EVM machines.

However the ECI has clarified just after the Demo in Delhi assembly, that machines other than ECI-EVMs can be programmed to perform in a certain way to technically hack the machines.

Earlier all of the major political parties like AAP, BSP, SP, Congress and many have complained to the Election Commision of the EVM hacking and reason for BJP’s win in the recent elections.
