Internet rumours might not be always fake. But if it is spread by some leading channels then people tend to think that it might be true. Read the below messages about pork ingredients in Cadbury Chocolates then our analysis for it.

Message 1:

Saudi Arabian authorities have said they are testing Cadbury chocolate bars for traces of pork DNA after two of its products in Malaysia were found to contain it.

Message 2:

CADBURY

Halal refers to foods that are permissible for Muslims to eat or drink under Islamic Sharia law. The foods addressed are mostly types of meat and animal tissue. The most common example of non-halal (or haraam) food is pork, but foods other than pork can also be haraam. Halal criteria include the food’s source, the cause of the animal’s death, and how it was processed:

But wait! Why would Cadbury have halal-certified Easter chocolates since Muslims don’t celebrate Easter, a Christian holiday?

Message 3:

Our Analysis – The above message, video and link informs the users that pork is being used during manufacturing of Cadbury Chocolates. If users look at the video then then can do a self-review on this matter. There is no proof that the pig slaughtered in the video is inside Cadbury factory. It’s just a random video from somewhere. No authenticity and genuine content. At the end they have added some comments from some shopkeepers without any verification. It fails at the first step itself. The link added by al Jazeera also there is no concrete evidence of any such thing. The link (The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA)) that they have provided of SFDS is also not opening on click.

The Al-Jazeera article was published on 1st June 2016. The next day BBC published a news for it clarification that Cadbury chocolate has been found not to contain pork DNA by Islamic authorities in Malaysia:

Conclusion – It looks like hoax news. A company like Cadbury cannot make products like this by fooling people at this level. As of now enjoy eating Cadbury chocolates as it is being confirmed by BBC as well.
