Harbhajan Singh, Tweet – On 6th Jan, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) declared Indian team for ODI and T-20 series against the England. On 7th Jan, Senior Cricketer Harbhajan Singh raised many eye brows by questioning the selection process done by BCCI. His main concern was Karun Nair. He later deleted the tweet, might be due to fear of selection of Yuvraj Singh (his old colleague and friend) in the squad.

We have seen a lot of events surrounding the Indian Team in last week. Highlights –

  1. In a surprise move, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced at 9 PM on 4th January that he has quit Captaincy in ODI and T-20 matches. Though he will continue to play for India.
  2. On 6th jan, Team India was declared. And as expected, Kohli was declared as Captain of Team India in both the formats (T20 and ODI). What surprised all was the selection of Yuvraj Singh in National Team. Yuvi has not played ODI since December 2013.
  3. On 7th Jan, Kohli posted a video of all his praises  for Mahi for his contribution in his cricketing carrier.
  4. On 7th Jan, Bhajji also tweeted and questioned for not selection of Karun Nair in Indian Team

Many eye brows has raised after this question was raised by Bhajji. He said in his tweet –

“Helllo Guys Wher is Karun Nair?? Who just scored 300 vs Eng..he isn’t part of even practice games against Eng.forget ODI.Wah kamal hai”

There is no question that Karun Nair’s performance was extraordinary in the test series. He scored 303 not out and became the second Indian after Virendra Sehwag (Viru) for score triple hundred in Test matches. He scored it in 382 balls. It proved that he can score at a very quick pace. Instead of all these achievements, he was completely ignored for the team selection. Instead of him senior player Yuvraj was selected. It is being conveyed that Yuvi has performed exceptionally good in domestic cricket. No doubt Yuvi is good player and his selection might be a good decision and due to that only, Bhajji had to delete his comments immediately after it went viral on social media. But the question still remain open –  if Indian team is looking forward to make a team for World Cup, then people like karun should be part of it.
