Mobile Web Congress – 27th Feb is date for Mobile Web Congress (MWC) and Samsung’s President of Mobile Koh Dong-jin spoke to Reuters that – each year Samsung releases it Galaxy S smartphones during the start of MWC. Samsung has been doing these traditionally. But this year their flagship phone won’t participate the biggest event of Mobile phones in Barcelona.

Each year Samsung uses it as a platform to launch Galaxy series phone. This year Samsung is not ready to launch Galaxy S8 till now. It’s clear that Samsung is going to delay the launch date for its luxury phone and it will not be present in MWC as well.

Due to Note 7 debacle (phone burst issue due to battery heating), Samsung seems to be very cautiously moving its steps. The President also refused to comment anything related to launch date for the new device.

Expected features in Galaxy S8

It is believed that Samsung is working on creation of an exceptional design which will guarantee rejuvenated experience with the display technology for S8 series. This display technology is known ‘Infinity display’. It will reduce or remove the bezels (frames surrounding the display area) and provide edge to edge experience. It will drastically enhance the look of the phone.

As Samsung does during the launch of each phones, the phone is expected to be launched in two sizes – 5 inch and 6 inches screen. Both these phones will be in the same proportion as the earlier Galaxy S smartphones. With reduction in the bezel size, it would guarantee more display area for the end user. That would assure more comfort in terms of visibility. There are also chances that Samsung will remove the home button and include that inside the screen only. It can also include biometric censors inside the screen along with some security features.
