Fact Check: Narendra Modi abuse in the streets of Varanasi

News Claim:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently visited Varanasi to inaugurate the renovated Kashi-Viswanath corridor. During his stay in Kashi, PM Modi also inspected the reconstruction taking place in the city. Now a video related to this incident is going viral on social media, in the video people are seen raising anti-Modi slogans. It is being claimed that the media has not shown these slogans raised by people in Varanasi against PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath.  

Viral on Social Media:  Social media people are sharing a 26-second video related to Modi. In this, PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath are touring in the streets of Banaras, while people standing on the side of the road are shouting slogans of हाय-हाय मोदी. Some more anti PM Modi slogans are also heard in the video. The viral post claimed that the media had not covered the news.

News Verification: It has been found in the investigation that the video which is going viral on social media has been edited. It has been tampered with. Several videos of the incident have been shared on Twitter. In which it is seen that, when PM Modi and CM Yogi were touring in Banaras at night, then the people present there did not raise anti slogans, but slogans of Modi Zindabad, Jai Shri Ram and Har-Har Mahadev were raised.   

ANI and ABPA News have also shared videos of the incident. After inaugurating the Mega Kashi-Viswanath Corridor on 13th December, PM Modi and CM Yogi suddenly arrived for the night inspection. With the help of reverse image search, we found that senior journalist Rohan Dua has shared a video matching the viral video. In this video, not anti Modi slogans but slogans are seen in support of Modi.

We continued the search for further investigation. In this video of Modi and Yogi's night tour was also found on DeshGujaratHD YouTube channel. In this too, slogans of Modi Zindabad or Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev were raised. 

We found many other similar videos and news during the search. Which made it clear that the viral video of anti Modi slogans is fake? All these videos have been shared around 24 hours after the end of the event. The video is being edited and viral with the wrong claim.
