News Verification: The news about Yohani de Silva as being appointed the cultural ambassador between India and Sri Lanka by the Indian High Commission in Colombo is not true.  She rose to fame after song on Manike Mage Hithe’

Many Indian celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Parineeti Chopra, Krystle D'Souza posted videos to the track.

She has never said that she has been appointed the cultural ambassador. As per her Facebook page she wrote, “Dr Rewant Vikram Singh Director, Indian Cultural Centre (now called Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre), High Commission of India, hosted us today in his office.”. She did not write anywhere that she had been appointed the cultural ambassador. It was all speculated from the content of this message.
