Shameful Congress Campaign uses picture of Pink Buses Launched by BJP

News Claim:  A picture shared by the Congress Himachal Pradesh Twitter handle showing Pink bus services launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Assam, as part of their own campaign is being criticized by many.

News Verification: The picture of the Pink bus service was shared by the Congress and Bihar unit, from the official Twitter handle of the National Congress party.

In the picture, we can see three women standing in front of a pink bus and taking a selfie. Here we can see multiple buses in Pink colour parked.   

A news published on india.com titled as , “Pink Buses for Women, Senior Citizens: Assam CM Launches Free Dedicated Bus Service”  The Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, In a bid to provide free transport service for women and senior citizens, on Saturday flagged off 25 buses exclusively for women and senior citizens to travel within the city of Guwahati. Flagging off the new pink buses under Bhraman Sarathi Scheme, Sonowal said that the free transport service would immensely help women and senior citizens

These buses are free and dedicated bus services for women and senior citizens will ply in five routes, which include Khanapara to Jalukbari via Paltan Bazar, Forest Gate to Jalukbari via Chandmari, Basistha Mandir to Jalukbari via Paltan Bazar, Khanapara to Jalukbari via NH/ISBT and Games Village/ Bhetapara to Jalukbari via Paltan Bazar
