News Verification: It is true that the incident did happen in Pakistan; however the incident is of domestic violence from Pakistan. It is not of Hindu women abducted in a broad daylight as claimed by many on social media.

Many prominent Indian channels supported the claims of BJP MP, however, the fact is not true. A news channel thepakistandaily from Pakistan reported. It wrote, “A married woman who approached the court for dissolution of a marriage, has been dragged on a road when she was returning from court to her home, case registered against 7 persons. According to details, Tejhan 40, wife of Herchand Bheel resident of Vehro Sharif, had a clash with her spouse, therefore she had knocked on the door of civil court Umerkot for dissolution of a marriage. They attempted to kidnap her. She made a hue and cry, resultantly police rushed to a site and saved her.”.

We found the same incident reported in Dawn, “A woman was attacked by her husband and seven of his accomplices, who pulled her hair and dragged her on the road when she was returning from a local court before the police came to her rescue on Monday.”

We also found a tweet from Pakistan's National Assembly member Lal Malhi stating, “This incident has happened at my home town- Umerkot and is a family dispute. The woman wanted a divorce and in-laws dragged her. The accused are not Muslims but her relatives belonging to the Bheel community. The accused have been booked and arrests made
