News Verification: Many Social media users fall into this fake news showing migrant family suicide, hanging from a tree. It is an unfortunate incident when someone takes his/her own life due to financial or health issue. The image with the message was shared on Social media with a wrong context of coronavirus.

The Coronavirus has taken over 74,647 lives across the world and over 4000 cases in India. The Indian government has imposed a 21 days lockdown in the country. Many people including AAP legislator Alka Lamba, shared the above image without verification and claimed that the migrant worker suicide was due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The claim suicide due to hunger during migration from Surat because of the lockdown is not true. We found the video of the shared image on YouTube, uploaded on May 8, 2019.

We did not get much information about the incident.
