लेकिन अगर केवल मुसलमान ही विरोध करते रहे… अगर केवल 20 करोड़ लोग विरोध करते हैं, तो क्या शेष 100 करोड़ लोग… यदि आप मजहबी नारे लगा रहे हैं, तो क्या वे आपका हिस्सा बनने के लिए तैयार होंगे? मैं एक आदर्श दुनिया की बात कह रही हूँ, एक आदर्श भारतीय समाज में, हर किसी को अनुमति दी जानी चाहिए, उनका स्वागत किया जाना चाहिए और वे जो भी कहना चाहते हैं, उन्हें कहने दिया जाना चाहिए। वे कुछ भी कहकर विरोध कर सकते थे, ‘जय श्री राम’, ‘वंदे मातरम’, ‘भारत माता की जय’ या खालसा या ईसाई नारों के नाम पर विरोध कर सकते हैं, लेकिन हम एक आदर्श समाज नहीं हैं"
