Multiple Fake news claims-: A news viral claims that “China seek for court’s approval to kill the over 20,000 coronavirus patients to avoid further spread of the virus”

The highest level of court in China, Supreme People’s Court, is expected to give approval on Friday for the mass killing of coronavirus patients in China as sure means of controlling the spread of the deadly virus.

The State mentioned in a document to the court that the country may lose its entire citizens if the few affected patients do not sacrifice their lives to save health workers and a billion others as there is no hope in sight in the fight against the virus.

 

Facts Check Verdict: False

News Verification: The news that the Chinese government court has ordered to kill over 20,000 people that would eventually stop the spread of coronavirus is not true.

The news link has been wildly shared on WhatsApp and another social media is from a Chinese website published on AB-TC (aka City News). What makes this news deadly is that the website claiming to the court order to kill over 20,000 people does not have any terms and policy page. Which makes it unclear about the website authenticity as well?

We did not find any information on TV or news media to support these claims, even the website has no further links to prove its claims. 

The AB-TC (aka City News), has earlier as well spread false news and spread multiple disinformations.

Singapore Government’s fact-check website further reported to this fake news and issued a clarification.

It said, On 30 Jan 2020, a website called ‘City News’ published an article titled “BREAKING NEWS: Singapore records six more coronavirus case, a total of 16 now” (https://ab-tc.com/singapore-coronavirus-cases/) claiming that five Singaporeans have contracted the Wuhan coronavirus without going to China.

Corrections and clarifications regarding falsehoodspublished by AB-TC City News' website

There was a false statement contained in a web article on the Wuhan virus situation in Singapore. Falsehoods On 30 Jan 2020, a website called 'City News' published an article titled "BREAKING NEWS: Singapore records six more coronavirus case, total of 16 now" (https://ab-tc.com/singapore-coronavirus-cases/) claiming that five Singaporeans have contracted the Wuhan coronavirus without going to China.
