The four-digit toll-free number is exclusively for women in distress is 1091, again adopted by state governments across the country.  However, in the latest development, a single emergency helpline number (112) was launched this year, integrating the police (100), fire (101), health (108) and women’s helpline (1091) numbers.

So the viral message and number is not functional and hence the claim is FALSE.
