Facts Check News: The message viral on social media claiming pressing cancel button. Press ‘cancel’ button twice before inserting the card. If anyone has set up the keypad to steal your PIN code. this will cancel that set up, this information is not true.
Ayupp has debunked the same story on 30, November 2018 , titled “RBI, Pressing Cancel Twice On An ATM Prevent PIN Theft is fake”.
There are no reports from any RBI or government notification of any such over the years and even the ATM manual never says something like this is true. ATM functions depend entirely on the Banks, RBI has no role in it
