Shashi Tharoor shares Nehru & India Gandhi's Russia image as USA

News Claim: Shashi Tharoor shared a picture from Russia like that of the US stating, “Nehru & India Gandhi in the US in 1954. Look at the hugely enthusiastic spontaneous turnout of the American public, without any special PR campaign, NRI crowd management or hyped-up media publicity”.

1954 में जब नेहरू जी अमेरिका गए थे तब की ये तस्वीर है, तब ना कोई पीआर एजेंसी काम कर रही थी इनके लिए, ना कोई ब्रांडिंग हो रही थी और ना ही सोशल मीडिया पर कैम्पेनिंग!
लेकिन मोदी जी और उनके अंधभक्त लोगों को बताएंगे कि 2014 से पहले हिंदुस्तान और उसके प्रधानमंत्री को देश के बाहर कोई जानता नही था!

Facts Check Analysis: It is no doubt that the Indian PM Narendra Modi US visit, howdy Modi was a great success. People from across the world came to know more about the leader and his supporter worldwide, now including the American President Donald Trump.

Indian political parties are now in several minds how to stop the massive growth of the Indian PM.

Shashi Tharoor a Congress leader tweeted a photo of Jawaharlal  Nehru and Indira Gandhi waving to a crowd Soviet Union. Shashi Tharoor as commented in the picture he posted also wrote, “Nehru & India Gandhi in the US in 1954”  thus giving a wrong information as this picture is not from USA, but from Russia,

Not to mention that Shashi also mentioned the name Indira as India in the tweet.

Some social media users quickly responded to this fake information commenting, “Why are you trying to pass off a Moscow visit picture as a US one? In any case, in those days, a monkey from India would have drawn such crowds in the West, such was their fascination with the "exotic”

Apart from this some users also reminded what so many things can be wrong in the post by Shashi Tharoor, like, Nehru & India Gandhi in the US in 1954. The image has been posted in a Russian newspaper magmetall stating, “In August 1955, Jawaharlal Nehru came to Magnitogorsk with his daughter Indira Gandhi. The car - an open "Victory" - was "cut off" by the people from the motorcade. I was fortunate enough to run alongside - Indira, dressed in a sari, brightly painted, was terribly frightened by a warm meeting ...”
