Congress leader DK Shiv Kumar tweeted the video raising the pathetic condition in Karnataka; he said with a tweet, It's disturbing to see bodies of COVID patients who have died being dumped inhumanly into a pit in Ballari. Is this civility? This is a reflection of how the govt has handled this Corona crisis. I urge the govt to take immediate action and ensure that this doesn't happen again.

Fact-check: The number of new cases reported in Karnataka

The videos are from Ballari, Karnataka. The burial is of the people who passed away due to COVID-19. As per hindustantimes report, the group of people was being sacked for disrespectful handling of the bodies of COVID-19 patients.

The Karnataka BJP government disbanded a field team involved in burials of bodies of Covid-19 patients in the Ballari district after videos emerged of disrespectful handling of the bodies. The government also apologized to the families of the dead.
