Multiple Fake news claims-: A message viral on Social Media claims that WHO and Indian Government has warned against the purchase of any Chinese products during Holi

Acc to a Whatsapp forward my mother received, "Pakistan" has conspired to flood India with infected Holi products from China. Bc Muslims don't play Holi, only Hindus will be affected and get Coronavirus.

Ik who writes this. But what kind of people believe and fwd this stuff?

Google Translate: Among all the Indian festivals, Holi is the biggest festival of all, Holi which will be celebrated soon. In India, the maximum colors, gulaal, masks, and other Holi products are imported from China. What you consider as cheap and attractive contains a large amount of polymer. You must be informed that the raw materials are procured from China's Hunei from where coronavirus started to spread. We appeal all of you to not to use the products imported from China

Facts Check Verdict: False

News Verification: No the Indian government or the World Helth Organization has not issued any such warnings, it has not asked its citizens against the purchase of any Chinese products like colors and gulaal during the Holi festival.

In the image being shared with the headline on the top of the World health organization and below the Indian emblem.  The graphic image with text states that “a maximum of colors, gulaal, masks, and other products are imported from China”.

There is no information on the government official websites like pib etc, where we get any information regarding this Holi request to stop the purchase of the Holi products from China.

The news shared on Social Media is fake and good to be ignored and deleted.

Is it safe to receive a letter or a package from China?

Yes, it is safe. People receiving packages from China are not at risk of contracting the new coronavirus. From the previous analysis, we know coronaviruses do not survive long on objects, such as letters or packages.
