Pakistan is officially the Islamic Republic country in South Asia with a population exceeding 199 million people. It is the sixth most populous country and with an area covering 881,913 km2 (340,509 sq mi), it is the 36th largest country in the world in terms of area. To visit Pakistan One must have valid visa. The basic requirements for obtaining a visa are as follows:-

   Valid passport: The passport should be valid for at least one year.

b.

   Visa application form duly filled in.

   

Visa Application forms for getting visa's either through the Interior Division or Pakistan Miss Passport valid for 6 months beyond the intended length of stay required by all.

Documents required :
(a) Original valid passport, plus one photocopy.
(b) One application form.
(c) Two passport-size photos (Not older than six months).
(d) Confirmed return/onward ticket.
(e) Proof of sufficient funds for duration of stay.
(f) Fee payable by cash or postal order only.
(g) For business trips, a letter of invitation from a company in Pakistan.

After clearing all these formalaleties you are ready to fly but wait you have to keep some key points in your mind .

LANGUAGE

If we talk about language Urdu is their national language, if you know Hindi or urdu good if not you can go for English but you should able to understand their English which is mixed with Urdu, few speak well English but most have distinctly local flair.

TRAVEL

Travelling will be little risky during a festive called Ramadan,   which usually occurs in January or December it’s a time of fast. It’s prohibited to eat, drink, or smoke in public.

CLOTHING

Pakistan has very conservative mind set, women you can see mostly in salwar kameez and gents’ outfits have loose, baggy pants and long, tunic-style shirt. You can easily get dresses for women and gents in the market.

Short dresses are big no no.if you wear people start staring you, you should also keep dupatta to cover your head and chest otherwise people start staring you.

PEOPLE USUALY GREET THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OLD OR HIGH IN POSITION. As Salam Alaykum” (May Peace Be Upon You) when greeting. There response is “Wa alaikum As Salam” (And may Peace Be Upon You Too)

In Pakistan you won’t see many good hotels though government is working on it but there are few good hotels like Serena Hotel Islamabad and Avari Towers Karachi are a few to name. You can also get a range of hotels from cheap guest houses to luxury hotels.

FOOD Pakistani love to eat non veg, they are hard core eaters of kabab,nan and al spicy food. Biryani is the most popular dish in Pakistan. You can get cheap conveyance like Rickshaw, cabs and buses.You may also get a car if you are looking for more comfort, but ready to face th heavy traffics on the roads.
