AAP planning on the next step after Sidhu’s move to float political outfit
India, New Delhi: After Navjot Singh Sidhu’s decision to float a new political outfit Awaaz-e-Punjab, it was a big setback for Arvind Kejriwal as till last week he was Arvind kejrwal was in praise of Navjot Singh Sidhu, he has been addressing the media and updating about Sidhu’s delay.
It was only last week Kejriwal tweeted this
Sidhu resigned from the Rajya Sabha less than three months after he was nominated to the upper house.
His resignation comes ahead of the 2017 assembly election in Punjab, where the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) combine is facing voter discontent.
In July, when Sidhu resigned from the Rajya Sabha, it was assumed he would become the AAP's CM candidate or star campaigner. After dropping hints that Sidhu will soon join the AAP, tweeting that the former cricketer needs more time to make up his mind. However after after sidhu’s sudden change in decision to afloat a new party has stunned Kejriwal.
Sources said that Sidhu was annoyed with AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s U-turn ahead of his induction into the party. He was approached by the AAP and promised to be projected as chief ministerial candidate. But many leaders from the State objected, suggesting possible infighting within the party.
Going back to the issue of drug abuse would be the most effective way to get back the peoples trust and vote.
Kejriwal has earlier well done this in new Delhi, he knows how to turn the table in his favour.
