GRP receives bomb threat at New Delhi railway station, nothing suspicious found yet

The Government Railway Police are carrying out searches in all trains arriving and departing from the New Delhi Railway station, after a bomb threat was received on Monday. 

 At 4.10 a call said that a bomb was placed inside a train at the station, a senior railway officer told

Northern Railway spokesman Neeraj Sharma said that along with the government team the Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) along with the dog team were running this search.

In the case of frequency of trains, New Delhi is the fourth busiest railway station in the country, it is the busiest railway station in terms of passenger movement 185 trains start, end, or pass through the station, and daily meets 500,000 passengers with 16 platforms daily.

 A few days ago, Delhi Police received a similar call claiming that a bomb was placed in the Delhi High Court premises. 

ANI had told that SWAT teams, fire tender and a bomb squad had reached the court premises, but later the call became a fake call. 

Meanwhile, security in the national capital was increased and about 47,000 security personnel were deployed, intelligence agencies claimed that a terrorist attack can be done before Independence Day celebrations.
