New Delhi, Pranab Mukherjee: The Prime Minister Narendra of India on Sunday extended his wishes to President of India. Pranab Mukherjee celebrated his 81st birthday today. Modi said that the country is proud to have a well-read and knowledgeable President who puts the country's interest above everything.

Pranab Kumar Mukherjee (Bengali: প্রণব মুখোপাধ্যায়) (Bengali: [prənəb kʊmɑr mʉkhərdʒi]; born 11 December 1935) is the 13th and current President of India, in office since July 2012. In a political career spanning six decades, Mukherjee was a senior leader of the Indian National Congress and occupied several ministerial portfolios in the Government of India. Prior to his election as President, Mukherjee was Union Finance Minister from 2009 to 2012, and the Congress party's top troubleshooter.
He said in a tweet "His tremendous experience and wisdom has benefited the nation greatly. I pray for his long and healthy life,".
Shri Pranab Mukherjee assumed office as the 13th President of India on July 25, 2012, crowning a political career of over five decades of exemplary service to the nation in Government as well as Parliament.

The statement came in response to the President's remark on MPs in which he rebuked them for disrupting the work in the Parliament.
Recently he was very sad with the functioning of the parliament when the parliament have become non funcional, To end the deadlock, The President Pranab Mukherjee urged the parliamentarian on Thursday He said, disruption of Parliament is not acceptable at all, "For God's sake, do your job. You are meant to transact business in Parliament," Mukherjee said.
