India, Chandigarh, Sep 26: The 65 years old Sucha Singh Chhotepur, who was earliar sacked from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab an undignified manner after a sting operation, is all set to form a new political party.
In an interview to Firstpost, I have already made good preparations and plan to launch the party in the first week of October, All those people who love Punjab and value its honour and dignity are willing and eager to join our group. We want to change all this and establish the rule of the people. Our election manifesto will be based keeping in view the welfare of the people, he added. However, he didn't disclose the name of the party. 65-year-old Singh is considered one of the most experienced leader in Punjab.
According to close sources, among many names suggested, 'Aap Lok Party' name has got good support and may be the party will be launched with same name.
On Sidhu Joining his party: If Sidhu wants to support our party he is most welcome. I welcome all those people who have the welfare of Punjab in mind,. Navjot Singh Sidhu, earlier, announced setting up a political party 'Awaaz-e-Punjab' but later turned it into a people’s forum. Singh, meanwhile, added that he knows what are problems holding back Punjab and thinks the drug menace in the state can be tackled in just two months.
On Kejriwal:Talking about Delhi CM and AAP party in Punjab he said, it was him who set up AAP on his own resources and people's support. And I will do it once again. On allegation that led his eviction from the party he said, "I am innocent. I became a victim of AAP’s manipulations. It was all set up. What kind of an inquiry asks no questions to the accused (me)? AAP has pronounced a one-sided judgment. AAP is there in Punjab just to make money. It does not care for Punjab or Punjabis. Arvind Kejriwal is a dictator," Singh added.
