Uttarakhand, Kedarnath Temple: PM Narendra Modi conducted a special puja at the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand. This is first visit by the PM in three years to his shrine since winning the general elections three years ago.
The doors of the shrine opened at 8.50am with chanting of lines from the Vedas. Chief minister TS Rawat, the new Uttarakhand CM and other BJP leaders and ministers were also present on this occasion.
However a many pilgrims were kept waiting because of tight security until the PM’s puja was over.
