Najeeb Jung quits as Delhi Lt Governor, India will remember him for fight with kejriwal

New Delhi, Najeeb Jung: Arvind Kejriwal must be the happiest person in the world today, as the Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung on Thursday in a surprising move submitted his resignation 18 months before his tenure.

Najeeb Jung (65) years old, did not cite any reason for his resignation. He had submitted his resignation to the center. Though the centre is yet to accept his resignation.

Kejriwal was very fast to react to this and he twitted and wished Jung, “Sh Jung's resignation is a surprise to me. My best wishes in all his future endeavours”.

“तमाम खट्टे मी े अनुभवों के बावजूद कह सकता हूँ कि नजीब जंग साहब के साथ हमने मिलकर दिल्ली के लिए बहुत अच्छा काम किया। भविष्य के लिए शुभकानाएं।“

"Lt Governor Najeeb Jung has submitted his resignation to the Government of India. He thanks the Prime Minister for all the help and cooperation he received during his tenure," the L-G's office said in a statement.

"Jung also thanked the people of Delhi for all their support and affection, especially during the one year of President's Rule in Delhi, when he got unstinted support from them and which in turn helped run the administration in Delhi smoothly and effortlessly," the statement said.

It is well known how the clash between Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been ongoing ever since Arvind was the Delhi CM.   1. Delhi Dialogue Commission (DDC) The first confrontation between Arvind and Jung started, during the formation of DDC. At that time there was bitter war between Kejriwal and Najeeb Jung Arvind Kejriwal rejected the appointment of IAS dilraj kaur appointed by Najeeb Jung. A day after Lieutenant gave signal for the enquiry of the Delhi Dialogue Commission (DDC) files.

      2. In August, the High Court of Delhi quoted Najeeb as the administrative head of the government, which was a big blow to Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. After this the Lt. Governor recalled all the files sent to the secretariat during the last 1 and half years.
