Over 70 killed in floods in Gujarat, 25 thousand people rescued

Gujarat: The havoc of Floods is continuing in Gujarat. After the state of Uttar Pradesh, now people are worried about rains in northern Gujarat. More than 25,000 people have been moved to safe place through rescue work after the continuous rain on Monday night.

It has been raining in Gujarat continuously. By which the many life have become influenced due to it. As a precaution, the administration has ordered the evacuation of more than one hundred villages in view of the possibility of heavy rains. So far 70 people have died since the rain.

Floods in Dhanera have caused a tremendous damage, so much that people are not able to be safe in their homes. Dhanera has received 250 mm of rain in last 24 hours. Due to the continuous increase in water, the water is flooded. For this reason people are forced to live on the terrace.

Meanwhile, the government has shifted 10300 people to BK district through rescue and relief work, 950 people from Morbi district and 9790 people from Patan district to safer places. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in North Gujarat and Central Gujarat in the coming 24 hours.
