This was the first visit of Urjit Patel to Kolkata after being appointed as the RBI Governor when the congress workers showed Urjit Patel black flags expressing their displeasure towards the recent note ban called as demonetisation.
Earliar he was shown black flags by Trinamool Congress supporters outside the regional RBI office in the city.
The protest is ongoing by the congress and other opposing party members against PM Modi ever since November 8, when he announced the scrapping of the old currency of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 with the aim of curbing corruption and weeding out black money from the system.
It doesn’t look like the protest is not going to stop in the coming time at least till the election.
