An explosion took place in the district court premises in Punjab Ludhiana

New Delhi, December 23: One person has died and four have been injured in a blast in the court premises in Ludhiana, Punjab. After the blast, the NIA team has left for Ludhiana from Chandigarh. Police have issued high alerts across Punjab. The Union Home Ministry has sought a report from the Punjab government in the blast case. Deputy CM Randhawa has called a high-level meeting in Chandigarh. Instructions have been given to increase security in public places.

An explosion took place in the district court premises in Punjab's Ludhiana on Thursday in which one person was killed and four others were injured. Police said the blast took place in the toilet on the second floor of the court complex. A high alert has been issued in Punjab after the blast in the court premises. While expressing concern over the incident, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked to increase the security of the courts in the state.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a report on the matter from the Punjab government. Meanwhile, the NIA team is also reaching Ludhiana to investigate the matter. There is also information about the departure of the NSG team. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that our forensic team has reached. Ludhiana is our border state, so we cannot rule out anything including the possibility of outside forces, as they never want Punjab to remain stagnant; The entire state is on high alert.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi condemned the blast and said that he would visit Ludhiana to take stock of the situation. He said that, as the (Assembly) elections are approaching, some anti-national and anti-state forces are trying to carry out such heinous acts....the government is alert about this and the people should remain alert.. Channi said the guilty would not be spared.
