Chhattisgarh News: Car driver crushed people in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh: A speeding car crushed people involved in a religious procession in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district. In Jashpur's Pathalgaon, about 150 people were going for Durga immersion in the form of a procession. One person died on the spot due to the car collision, while 26 people were injured. Four of the injured are in critical condition. The car was loaded with ganja and the smugglers were taking it from Odisha to Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh. After the incident, people set the car on fire.

After the incident, people chased and caught the driver of the car from Sukhrapara, 5 km away. After this, angry people beat them fiercely. People also set ablaze the car that hit it. With great difficulty, the police rescued the accused from the crowd. While saving them from the mob, the police took him to Kapu police station in Raigad district. Seeing the anger of the people, police have been deployed on the spot. Two accused have been arrested in this case.

The accident took place in Pathalgaon at around 1.30 pm on Friday. At that time people were taking the idols of 7 Durga pandals to the river bank for immersion. Then a car coming from behind in the middle of the market crushed the people involved in the procession. A young man named Gaurav Aggarwal (21) died on the spot due to the collision of the car, while 4 people playing the band were seriously injured.

An ASI of Pathalgaon police station has been suspended,

People have accused an ASI of smuggling ganja. They say that the accused was trying to smuggle ganja in association with this ASI. That's why we demand action against ASI also. People also raised slogans against the police administration. After this, the ASI of Pathalgaon police station has been suspended.

After the accident, the people of Gumla-Katni highway jammed the Pathalgaon police station in protest against the incident. Apart from this, keeping the dead body of the deceased on the Gumla-Katni National Highway, he made a ruckus. They also raised slogans against the police and administration officials. They were not ready to remove the dead body from the highway till the arrest of the accused.

The car was running at a speed of more than 100 km.

Eyewitnesses say that the speed of the car must have been 100 to 120 and it hit the people directly. Many people have been seriously injured in this accident. People also say that ganja smugglers have a hand in the incident. He has hit the people involved in Durga immersion with a car.

In this incident of smugglers who crushed people, the two accused who have been arrested by the police in this incident, are both residents of Madhya Pradesh. Their names are Bablu Vishwakarma (21) and Shishupal Sahu (26). Here, on getting information about the anger of the people, senior police officers have reached the spot.

Collector appeals to maintain peace

Collector Ritesh Agarwal has appealed to the people to maintain peace regarding the incident. He has said that action will definitely be taken against the culprits. So far the police have arrested two accused. Action will be taken against the rest of the culprits on the basis of their interrogation.
