Ventilators Beds filling fast in Mumbai as Covid cases cross 20,000

COVID 19 Cases in Mumbai: Mumbai once again is seeing a rise in a huge number of Covid cases, New cases of corona are increasing wildly in Mumbai. BMC said that 20971 cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, which is the highest number of cases reported in a day since the start of the epidemic. Today 6 patients have died due to corona infection and 8490 people have recovered from the infection. At present, there are 91,731 active patients in the city.

According to the data released by BMC, 150 new COVID 19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in Dharavi, Asia's largest slum. On Thursday, 20,181 cases were confirmed in Mumbai. On Wednesday, 15,166 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Mumbai, which was the highest number of cases till that time. Before Wednesday, Mumbai had the highest number of 11,163 cases in a single day in April 2021.

Amidst the ever-increasing cases of the corona, today Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the Chief Minister believes that no lockdown should be imposed, but people are still not serious about the corona and are not wearing masks. People should follow all the rules of Corona. Today a decision can be taken on the seating capacity in restaurants, hotels etc. At the same time, she said that at present no decision has been taken regarding the weekend curfew.
