FIR against Priyanka Tibrewal who stood against Mamata Banerjee

The politics of West Bengal is in the news headlines these days. By-elections are going to be held soon in Bhawanipur, Bengal. In such a situation, the state has become an election ground. There are fierce rhetoric attacks between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC). BJP has fielded Priyanka Tibrewal to take on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from the Bhawanipur seat. A tough contest is being seen between the two politicians.

BJP is busy campaigning for the party vigorously. At the same time, Priyanka has also raised the flag against the Mamta government. She is constantly attacking CM Mamta Banerjee.

Recently,  Kolkata: Kalighat Police have slapped non-bailable sections in an FIR filed against BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar and Bhowanipore candidate Priyanka Tibrewal. A case has been registered against Tibrewal in Kalighat, on which the BJP leader spoke openly. Tibrewal, who is a lawyer, reacted strongly to the police action. “Police have slapped non-bailable sections on us. Instead, they should initiate a murder case against the CM who didn’t prevent post-poll violence that took so many lives,” she said. She said, 'I am not scared of having a case. Just like the daily job of a doctor is to operate, similarly, my daily job is to deal with cases and courts. Then it will be seen.'

It is known that Kolkata Police has registered an FIR against two MPs including BJP leader Sukant Majumdar and Priyanka Tibrewal. Actually, all these BJP leaders were taking out a procession near the residence of Mamta Banerjee with the body of a party worker.
