Incredible President approves 3 agricultural bills, Jammu Kashmir official language bill also approved
President Ram Nath Kovind has approved three bills related to agrarian reform. All three bills have now become law with the signature of the President. These include the Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, Agriculture (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreement Bill on Agricultural Services, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill. These three Bills were passed by Parliament in the monsoon session amid strong opposition from the opposition. In the current speech, there has been a ruckus about the agricultural bills. Along with the farmers, leaders of opposition parties are joining the demonstrations on the streets against them.

Along with this, President Ramnath Kovind also approved the Jammu and Kashmir Official Language Bill-2020. After this approval, this bill has taken the form of law. Through this law, Kashmiri, Dogri, and Hindi have been included in the list of official languages ??of Jammu and Kashmir apart from Urdu and English. During the recent monsoon session, the Parliament passed the Jammu and Kashmir Official Language Bill. According to the gazette notification issued, the President has approved the Jammu and Kashmir Official Language Bill -2020 on September 26.
The Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill allows farmers to sell their products to any person or institution anywhere in the country. Through this, the concept of one country, one market will be implemented. Farmers will be able to sell their produce anywhere on the farm or on commercial platforms. On the other hand, the Farmers (Endowment and Security) Agreement and the Agricultural Services Bill allow the farmer to contract to sell his crop according to the set standards and fixed price before sowing. This is said to reduce the risk of the farmer.
Recently, during the passage of these Bills, there was a lot of uproar in the Rajya Sabha by the opposition. Opposition MPs in the Rajya Sabha. Later disciplinary action was also taken against eight members. Not only this, the opposition had urged President Ramnath Kovind not to sign these bills and return them. In opposition to these bills, the Shiromani Akali Dal broke from NDA.
Amid intensified politics over agrarian bills and protests in some parts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday tried to clear the confusion being spread about these bills among farmers in the Mann Ki Baat program. Along with this, some interesting stories of the success of the farmers who broke out the restrictions of the Mandi law were also told. He said that the agriculture sector of the country, our farmers, and villages are the basis of self-reliant India. PM Modi shared some interesting stories related to the farmers of Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu in the Mann Ki Baat program.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that it was a historic moment in Indian agricultural history. He further said that these (agriculture) bills will ensure a complete change in the area and will empower the crores of farmers. Farmers were forced and harassed by middlemen for decades, but a bill passed by Parliament would liberate them. This will accelerate efforts to double the income of farmers and ensure their greater prosperity. He said that the agriculture sector is in dire need of the latest technology. Its access to farmers will now be smooth, which will increase production.
