India fights Covid vaccine as Johnson & Johnson's single-shot vaccine gets nod

India’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday approved the single-dose Covid vaccine by Janssen, a subsidiary of the US pharma giant Johnson and Johnson, Now India has got another vaccine in the war against Corona. India has approved the emergency use of Johnson & Johnson's single-dose Covid-19 vaccine. Now there are a total of 5 such vaccines in India, which have got permission for emergency use. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted this information. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted and informed that Johnson & Johnson's single-dose vaccine has been approved for emergency use in India.

Mandaviya tweeted, "India expands its vaccine basket! Johnson and Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine is given approval for Emergency Use in India. Now India has 5 EUA vaccines. This will further boost our nation's collective fight against #COVID19." There are vaccines. This will further strengthen the country's overall efforts in the fight against infection.

Significantly, the US pharmaceutical company had applied for the emergency use of its vaccine on Friday and the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved it the same day. The five vaccines that have been approved for emergency use in India are - Serum Institute's Covishield, Bharat Biotech's Covaccine, Russia's Sputnik V and Moderna's Vaccine and Johnson & Johnson's Vaccine.
