Khichdi will be promoted as 'brand India' food at global event

Khichdi is prepared in every house, whenever someone is not well he or she is prescribed to eat khichdi. Not only this it is one of the easiest dish to make. Khichdi is known and made in every corner of India.  Now khichdi  is going to get special recognition.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   This This dish is all set to be  promoted as 'Brand India Food' during the the World Food India 2017. From November 3 in Delhi, the 'World Food India' exhibition and conference is being started. This event will be organized on the India Gate Lawn under the leadership of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
Sanjeev Kapoor's attempt can be included in the Guinness Book of World Records. The purpose of this effort is to popularize Khichadi as brand India food internationally and to create an interest in Indian food products.

Over 800 kilograms of khichdi will be cooked by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor at the event in an attempt to create a world record and promote the dish. sing a “giant ‘kadhai’ of the capacity of 1,000 litres and 7 feet in diameter.

Food processing industry minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said in a press conference, "It will be held on the day of guru fasts and the ready-made Khichadi will be distributed among the foreign guests as well as in the poor. Khichadi is a food that grows poor and rich all over here and it is considered very nutritious in terms of health. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was also present on this occasion. He said that 50 people will be involved in the construction of this Khichdi and the effort behind it is to present Khichdi as an Indian food brand internationally. It will be cooked on low flame."Khichdi is the wonder staple food of India and is considered the healthiest prepared food in India and it is being eaten across length and breadth of India by rich and poor," Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal told reporters at the curtain raiser event.
