Uttarakhand government increased DA of employees by three percent, free tablet for Students

Dehradun, December 25: In the cabinet meeting held on Friday, December 24, the Dhami government has taken a big decision for the government employees. The decision to increase the DA for Uttrakhand government employees was approved by the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The chief minister had decided to lift the freeze on payment of DA to the state government employees on August 25. 

 After this decision, the DA of 2.5 lakh employees and pensioners has been increased by three percent. With this, the DA of the employees will increase to 31 percent. Not only this, the Dhami government has taken a big initiative to upgrade the youth of the state technically.

The government has allowed the distribution of mobile tablets to class 10 and class 12 students. Government Spokesperson Subodh Uniyal has given information about these decisions taken in the cabinet meeting.

After this decision is taken in the Uttarakhand cabinet, there will be a three per cent increase in the DA of 2.5 lakh employees and pensioners of the state. The DA's proposal was approved in the state cabinet meeting. At the same time, for the academic session 2022-23, students of general and backward castes studying from classes 9 to 12 in government secondary schools will also be included in the free textbook scheme.

On Friday, 54 proposals were discussed in the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It is being told that the increased DA will be payable from July 2021 and it will increase to 31 percent from the existing 28 per cent.

Uniyal said that a big initiative has been taken to upgrade the youth technically. The government has allowed the distribution of mobile tablets to class 10 and class 12 students. With this, the state government will set up the state's first sports university, the cabinet has approved the proposal. The proposal for Prakriti and Environment Award has also been approved in the memory of environmentalist Late Sundar Lal Bahuguna. The exemption of electricity surcharge has been extended till March 31, 2022. It has been decided to make year-wise appointments on the posts of ANM and GNM in the Health Department.
