Vinod Dua Passes Away, daughter Mallika Dua confirms, funeral will be held tomorrow

Vinod Dua Death News: Senior journalist Vinod Dua has died in Delhi at the age of 67. His daughter and actress Mallika Dua has confirmed the death through an Instagram story. Vinod Dua's last rites will be performed tomorrow at the Lodhi crematorium. 

The passing of renowned TV anchor Vinod Dua marks the end of an era of TV journalism.

Mallika Dua shared a picture of her father and wrote, Our fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away. He lived a unique life, always speaking the truth while raising him to the pinnacle of journalism excellence for 42 years from the refugee colonies of Delhi. He is now in heaven with our mother, his lovely wife Chinna, where they will continue to sing, cook, travel for each other.

Senior journalist Vinod Dua passes away, confirms his daughter and actress Mallika Dua. His cremation will take place tomorrow, she posts.

Dua was admitted to a hospital in Delhi. He also had a COVID-19 infection earlier this year, when he spent several days in intensive care. Her daughter Mallika also shared a health update last week when she was admitted to the hospital due to post-coronavirus complications.

Vinod Dua was known for his public interest journalism. He worked as a news anchor for many years in several organizations including Doordarshan. In June this year, Vinod Dua's wife Dr Padmavati Dua also passed away due to coronavirus complications. She was popularly known as Chinna Dua. At that time, daughter Mallika, confirming this news on social media, wrote, " There will never be another like you. My first and best friend. My Papaji. Very few live as large and glorious a life as you did. Always up for a good time. Always ready for a challenge. Loved a good fight 🤣. Always there for his children. A self-made, lion-hearted legend who roared in rebellion till his last breath. He feared nothing, least of all death. Thank you for being the BEST dad in the world. I’m sure you and mama are eating chapli kebab and discussing “mallika itna kyun ladti hai sabse. Kaise manage karegi 🤣” The most courageous, irreverent, compassionate and funny man I know. What a guy. An ordinary boy born in Nabi Karim who took on the high and mighty and won, till the end. Padmashree Vinod Dua. Even at your weakest, you gave Indian Journalism a landmark judgment.
