Why was the Ludhiana blast done? The sacked policeman Gagandeep Singh

Chandigarh, December 25: One person was killed and five others were injured in a blast on December 23 at Ludhiana District and Sessions Court in Punjab. The man who died in the Ludhiana blast has been identified as a dismissed policeman. This is the same sacked policeman who did the blast. The sacked policeman's name is Gagandeep. Gagandeep was sacked by the police, leading to a rift between him and his wife. Later he also got involved in illegal activities. Punjab Police has also confirmed this.

How did the blast happen in the Ludhiana court?

When asked whether the identity of the Ludhiana blast victim has been confirmed? In response to this question, Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay has said, "The deceased person was former policeman Gagandeep Singh carrying out the Ludhiana blast. He was dismissed from service in 2019 after his arrest in a drug-smuggling case and spent two years in jail. According to sources, Gagandeep's mobile phone exploded during the blast. But Gagandeep had a dongle through which he was accessing the internet. NIA and Punjab Police suspect that Gagandeep was taking information from someone to assemble and activate the bomb online.

Relatives identified the dead body after seeing the tattoo

Gagandeep was identified on the basis of the SIM of the same internet dongle of Gagandeep and later the family members identified the dead body after seeing his tattoo. It is being told that Gagandeep was in jail for 2 years after being sacked by the police department. NSG and police officials believe that the deceased was the one who planted the bomb in the court premises and died when he accidentally set it off.

Why was the Ludhiana blast done? The Punjab Police and NIA are now probing what was the motive behind the blast in the District and Sessions Court of Ludhiana. India Today, quoting its sources has claimed that Pakistan-backed Babbar Khalsa is suspected to be behind the Ludhiana court blasts.

The blast took place in a toilet on the second floor of the District and Sessions Court complex in Ludhiana at around 12:22 pm on December 23. The intensity of the explosion shook the surrounding buildings. Several parts of the building were damaged as the walls and glass windows were shattered.
