Yogi Cabinet Expansion: UP: new faces Jitin, Dharamveer, Sanjay, Chhatrapal, Sangeeta ,Paltu ,Dinesh

UP, Lucknow. The cabinet expansion of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh took place on Sunday. The swearing-in program of the expansion of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Uttar Pradesh took place in the Gandhi Auditorium of the Raj Bhavan. Seven new ministers were sworn in the cabinet expansion of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh. Governor Anandiben Patel first administered the oath to Jitin Prasada as a cabinet minister.

The discussion on the expansion of the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, which has been going on for a long time in Uttar Pradesh, came to an end today. The discussion gained momentum in June and July, and in the last week of August, along with the names of the ministers, the date for taking the oath was also being decided. Apart from a Brahmin Jitin Prasad, six other leaders have been sworn in the cabinet expansion. Out of these six come from the SC-OBC caste category.

Jitin Prasad: Jitin Prasada is not yet a member of any house in Uttar Pradesh, ready to take oath as a cabinet minister among those who are to be included in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet. Jitin Prasad, who was a minister of state in the Manmohan Singh government at the Center, has a lot of influence in Rohilkhand. 

Jitin Prasada was a leader of great stature in the Congress. He was MP for two terms. Became MP for the first time from Shahjahanpur Lok Sabha seat in 2004. After this, in 2008, he was made the Union Minister of State for Steel. After delimitation in 2009, fought from Dhaurahara and became MP for the second time.


He was the Minister of State in the Department of Road Transport, Petroleum and Human Resources. In the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he lost from Dhaurahra. With this, he lost the election from the Tilhar assembly seat of Shahjahanpur in the 2017 assembly elections. His father Jitendra Prasad was also the MP of Shahjahanpur four times. He has been a political advisor to Rajiv Gandhi and PV Narasimha Rao.


Dharamveer Prajapati: The name of Agra MLC Dharamveer Prajapati is also in the list of ministers. He is also a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council as well as the Chairman of the Mati Kala Board. He has handled important responsibilities of the BJP. Dharamveer Prajapati is originally from Bardoi in the Hathras district.

He started the work of service to society as a volunteer of RSS. After this, he started his political career with BJP. For the first time in the year 2002, he got the responsibility of the state. He became the General Secretary of the State in the then Backward Classes Cell. After this, he also took over the responsibility of minister in the state organization twice.

Sanjay Gond: Sanjeev Singh Gond alias Sanjay Gond is a Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Obra of Sonbhadra. Sanjay comes from the Gond Scheduled Tribe. He is known for his simplicity.


There is a good number of Gond caste in many districts of Purvanchal including Sonbhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli. BJP is making him a minister to cater to the Gond caste.

Chhatrapal Gangwar: Chhatrapal Gangwar, who became MLA for the second consecutive time from Baheri of Bareilly, is being made a minister save the backward class vote along with representing Bareilly district. After the formation of the government, the stature of the district was strengthened by making Cantt MLA as Finance Minister and Amla MLA Dharampal Singh as Irrigation Minister. After this, the resignation was taken from both of them.

Chhatrapal Gangwar belongs to the Backward Classes. He had worked for a long time in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. After that, he joined BJP. In the election, he defeated SP candidate Ata ur Rehman. Efforts will be made to make Chhatrapal Gangwar a minister by making the backward classes in the area. In Baheri, Nawabganj, Bhojipura and Aonla areas, the direct effect of being made ministers from backward classes are believed to be. A part of Baheri also comes under Pilibhit parliamentary constituency.


Sangeeta Bind: Sangeeta Balwant Bind belongs to the Nishad community. She is a BJP MLA from the Ghazipur Sadar seat. She comes from the backward caste Bind society. She has been elected MLA for the first time.

Sangeeta came into active politics from student politics and panchayat politics. Sangeeta is a youth leader and is around 42 years old. Bind (OBC) has a significant vote bank in Purvanchal. Sangeeta comes from this caste. His association with the Bharatiya Janata Party happened during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Dr Sangeeta Balwant, who is considered close to Manoj Sinha, got the ticket in 2017 due to Sinha's efforts.

Paltu Ram: BJP MLA Paltu Ram, who is going to join the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, has won from the Sadar reserved seat of Balrampur. Apart from politics, he also does agriculture and leads his life with simplicity. Born in Parade Sarkar village of Gonda district, MLA Paltu Ram received his education up to MA from Avadh University. Due to the interest in politics, students continued to participate in social work from life itself.

In the year 2000, he was the first elected member from the Bhadua Tahar area and vice-president of Zilla Panchayat. In its 2007 assembly elections, he contested from Mankapur reserved seat on a BSP ticket. He contested the election of Zilla Panchayat member from the Gird Gonda area in 2015. In view of his loyalty and dedication towards the party, he was given a ticket to contest from Balrampur Sadar seat in the 2017 assembly elections. where he won.

Dinesh Khatik: BJP MLA from Hastinapur, Meerut, Dinesh Khatik is being made a minister. 44-year-old MLA Dinesh Khatik is a resident of Falavada Kasba under Mawana police station area. For the first time in 2017, he contested the election from the Hastinapur assembly on behalf of the BJP.

Dinesh Khatik won by defeating BSP candidate Yogesh Verma for the first time itself. Dinesh Khatik has been in the BJP since the beginning and has been a worker of the Sangh. His father was also a union worker. Brother Nitin Khatik has been a member of the Zilla Panchayat. MLA Dinesh Khatik has a brick kiln business in Falavada. He lives in Ganganagar, Meerut.
