Arnab Goswami attacked in Mumbai

Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami and his wife were attacked in the midnight, in Mumbai. They were attacked by two unidentified men while on their way home from the studio. Although Arnab and his wife are completely safe, they have no injuries. Police have started an investigation.

Police arrested two people in connection with the attack on Arnab. A case has been registered against them under Section 341 and 504 of IPC in NM Joshi Marg Police Station.

Arnab has said that at around 12:10 pm he was going home from the office with his wife and another colleague. He was overtaken by two people who came by bike on Ganpatrao Kadam Marg. They blocked the way and hit the car window several times from the driver's side. Arnab was driving the car. When the glass did not break, they took out a bottle full of liquid and threw it on the car. They were also abusing. They are alleged to have been attacked by Youth Congress activists.

Information broadcasting minister condemned

Condemning the attack, Information Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, 'We condemn the attack on senior journalist Arnab Goswami. We condemn the attack on any journalist. It is against democracy. Those who preach tolerance have become equally intolerant. It is undemocratic. '

Arnab complained about Sonia Gandhi's comments

Earlier, a complaint was filed against senior journalist Arnab Goswami on Wednesday at two different police stations in Jaipur, Rajasthan, for comments made on Congress President Sonia Gandhi. A police complaint was also filed against him in Chhattisgarh. A complaint has been filed by a lawyer at Shyamnagar police station in Jaipur while a complaint has been lodged by a Congress worker at Bajaj Nagar police station. Both the complainants demanded the arrest of the journalist for making alleged remarks against Sonia Gandhi.
