National Commission for Protection of Child Rights took to twitter
Priyank Kanoongo, the Chairperson - National Commission for Protection of Child Rights took to twitter to state that, “According to the ATR received in @NCPCR_, a FIR has been lodged against the alleged persons for threatening and torturing a girl child on @Twitter.”. As per request by the Twitter, India FIR was lodged against AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair under the stringent POCSO Act for online harassment of a girl child.

AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair on 7 August, Zubair indulged in an online spat with a Twitter handle, @JSINGH2252. Zubair Doxed the picture of the girl Alon with the user JSINGH2252, on social media. Soon after this, the young girl has to go through all the unfortunate abuses. Soon after this Zubair, who tweets from his verified handle @zoo_bear, came into a highlight by twitter India and the commission has asked the Delhi cyber police to act on complaints made to it regarding the tweet.

His tweet was heavily criticized, the minor girl was threatened with rape comments on social media after the post by ALTNews co-founder.
