Facts Check Analysis: As seen in the viral video that protesters throwing eggs and stones at bus in Brazil and claimed that they were Brazilian fans reacting to the national team’s exit from the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The video has been widely shared on the social media and by several leading online news agencies like TimesNowIndiaToday , Jagran, Lokmat, Firstpost Hindi and Loksatta.

The same video was uploaded to YouTube and Facebook on March 27, 2018.

Translated: “A bus from Catarinense was attacked during a protest along the banks of BR-277, in São Miguel do Iguaçu.
The PRF confirmed that the bus was on the line, was destined to Foz do Iguaçu and was not part of the Lula Caravan by Brazil. Those responsible for the vehicle would be at the post registering an Occurrence Bulletin against the demonstrators.”

The truth is that the incident took place in Brasil’s southern state of Parana as protesters opposed to former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva‘s reelection bid, attacked the bus mistaking it to be a part of his convoy. So it is not the Brazil fans attacking the bus due to exit from FIFA World cup.
