Viral Message Verification:- There is a HOAX message currently circulating via social media, saying your car is not insured to drive during red weather alerts in the UK. If it was true it might keep some of the unnecessary traffic off the road. But it's NOT it's just more Twaddle.

Example > You are on the motorway and they announce a Red weather warning ! " right pull over, we will have to walk. We are not insured now " .

The message is not true. In fact, your car insurance remains valid even during red weather warnings.

UK insurance company Direct Line posted via Twitter:

We're aware of a fake news story being shared on Twitter. We would like to assure all of our customers that they are covered by their insurance policy during Red and Amber alerts. People should be careful when the weather is so extreme and only drive if really necessary.
