The entire service team of Oppo Mobile in Punjab has reportedly resigned after employees claimed that the Chinese company “disrespected India” and said, “Indians are beggars.” According to the employees, the derogatory statement was made after a salary hike was demanded. The resignation letter, signed by Oppo Service Team Punjab, was also forwarded to major dealers and distributors of the region. While the company is yet to comment on the incident or confirm the same, employees at the facility has taken the incident seriously.

As per ground sales team, with tough competition from the likes of Xiaomi and others, Oppo smartphones, otherwise expensive, are facing a tough time in the country as the “handsets are not value for money.”

Ayupp Analysis –  There has been some incidence for sure at the service centre in the Oppo Mobile in Punjab. On 15th July, the viral letter was spread all across the media and social network. The employees had claimed that they were ill treated and the Chinese company had disrespected India and said that Indians are beggars.

This news was published in several leading newspapers. For instance, news18 has published about this report on 20th July. They confirmed that such things has happened.


Even the Oppo team had confirmed about some issues in their customer service centre.

Later it was published in Indian express that Oppo has denied any such news.


Still the OPPO officials didn’t confirm about the signature of employees on the sheet. They said that they cannot give any official statement about it.
