There was a report from euronews, which posted a video on Mar 10, 2016 stating,

Authorities in Gaza say they have destroyed 15 tonnes of chocolate in response to last month's mass recall by the manufacturer.

Inspectors from the economy ministry oversaw the burning of thousands of bars of Snickers in the south of the Gaza Strip. Confectionery giant Mars, the maker of Snickers, recalled Mars bars and Snickers from 55 countries last month. The move came after bits of plastic were found in a product.

As per cbsnews, Fifteen tons of Snickers chocolate bars have met a sticky end in Gaza.

The question is why did Hamas burn tons of Snickers bars in a bomb crater?

Confectionary giant Mars recalled sweets from its Netherlands factory last month after "a small piece of red plastic" was found in a Snickers bar and this was the reason why tons of Snickers were burnt.

It is not the first time when the Confectionary giant has recalled

Its chocolates, back in 2016 snickers recalled its product from 55 countries as well. As per the reports in reuters the company Mars Inc has recalled chocolate bars and other products in 55 countries, mainly in Europe, due to choking risk after a piece of plastic was found in a Snickers bar in Germany.

The products though contained some plastic strips and for that reason it was recalled earlier, but there are no proof that it contains plastic.
