After six wickets fell, we were confident that we would take the match forward, but we could not. They bowled well in the middle over’s, we couldn't rotate the strike, but Delhi Capitals are always known to come back, hopefully, we will come back next year. This season we played good cricket, whatever happened, we learn Well, hopefully, we will do well next season."
Rahul Tripathi, who won the match for KKR with a six, said, "It feels great. Winning was very important for the team. We had one or two tough overs and I never thought the match would go so deep. Glad we did Won the match. Rabada bowled really well in the 18th over, but I knew I had to hit just one. Chances were there was a plan to take two. It was difficult for the new batsmen to get straight singles and boundaries. It was low. It was hard to keep and hit. I believed in myself and I knew it was just one hit away. It's been a great journey for us after the first leg. We believed in ourselves and the way Eoin and the coach gave us The attitude helped us with a positive outlook."
KKR captain Eoin Morgan said, "What we did in the last four overs we didn't want to happen because our openers did very well. Of course, we will go on to win the finals. We wanted to win the match easily, but Delhi Capitals was a lot better. It's a good team. It's good for us that we have a lot of young Indian players. The kind of team we have, we've been in constant dialogue, we've managed to adapt our strategy. Brendon McCullum sees Venkatesh Iyer moving forward in the nets But, that was the reason why he was able to make a place in the team and make a significant contribution in the second leg of this tournament."
