David Beckham to Retire

London: David Robert Joseph Beckham has announced that he will retiring from playing football. The announcement after winning a league title in the fourth country with Paris Saint-Germain.

London: Beckham said that he will be retiring at the end of the season. He just won a league title in the fourth country with Paris Saint-Germain. He said that “I’m thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level.”

Beckham,38 years, former English National team Captain had a wonderful career. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, Los Angeles Galaxy, French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and England national team. He holds the record of winning league titles in four countries representing English player.

Beckham's career turned after he won the FA Youth Cup in May 1992. At that time he was a part of a group of young players at the club who guided him to win this cup. He never looked back after this. He started his professional career by joining Manchester United in '93.

David never looked back in his professional career and on the international stage, he holds the England record for making 115 appearances as an outfield player for the national team.

David played for Manchester United from 1992-2003, during this period he had 265 apps and scored 62 goals. It was the longest time that he spent with any club. He also represented England national team from 1996-2009. He was a great sportsman, whose kick made him win matches for his team. His popularity reached to extreme when he married Spice Girl Victoria Adams in 1999. He was also famous for the tattoos that he pierced on his body. David was widely popular for his flamboyant hair style which kept changing with each season.

As a part of England national team he made appearances for 115 times scoring 17 goals.

Times were good as well as bad for David. When England was eliminated in the 1998 world cup, he was blamed for it, as he was given red card against Argentina. He brought back his glory by scoring goal against Argentina in the next world cup. In 2006, England dropped Beckham in order to give opportunities to younger players. England team could reach till quarterfinals only. Later, next year, Beckham was called by his team coach, but could not turn fortunes for the English team.

His last England appearance came against Belarus in October 2009, and he missed the 2010 World Cup because of an Achilles injury. He still went to South Africa as part of Fabio Capello’s backroom staff.

There have a lot of good players in the history of football, but Beckham was different from others. His style of playing the game was entirely mesmerizing. The football fans are really going to miss their dear David Robert Joseph Beckham.
