New Delhi: Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and one of the most loved bowlers from Pakistan has resigned from PTV Sports on-air after Pakistan channel anchor Nauman Niaz and had an argument over Pakistan team cricketers. He announced his resignation on the live show. 

During an On-Air debate, anchor Nauman Niaz misbehaved with Shoaib Akhtar and asked him to leave the show and go on a break. At the same time, when the show went on air again after the break, Shoaib Akhtar resigned. However, now this controversial incident has taken a new turn.

Actually, PTV has banned Shoaib Akhtar and anchor Nauman Niaz till the investigation of this case is completed. On the other hand, Akhtar has reprimanded this TV channel of Pakistan. The Rawalpindi Express termed the channel's decision as "ridiculous" and said he had resigned "in front of 22 crore Pakistanis". Apart from this, Nauman Niaz will also not get a chance to host any program of the channel till the hearing is over.


Shoaib Akhtar tweeted, "Well that’s hilarious. I resigned in front of 220 million Pakistanis & billions across the world. Is PTV crazy or what? Who are they to off-air me?." It is worth noting that after Pakistan vs New Zealand of T20 World Cup 2021, Shoaib Akhtar and anchor Nauman Niaz had an argument over Harris Rauf in PTV Sports' Game On Hai show because Shoaib Akhtar did not answer Nauman's question. Had praised Harris and said that Lahore Qalandars made Harris."

PTV's show 'Game on Hai' was organized after Pakistan's victory over New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2021. Shoaib Akhtar, Vivian Richards, Sana Mir and many other former cricketers were present in this program. At the same time, the famous anchor Dr Nauman was hosting the show. During this, Dr Nauman misbehaved with the legendry bowler, the videos are well available and anyone can judge what happened on the live show.
