KL Rahul to lead team India against T20 Series in November
The performance of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2021 has been very poor. The team has lost both its matches so far. Players have also complained about fatigue. Keeping this in mind, the BCCI has decided to rest the senior players in the T20 International series against New Zealand. It is reported that KL Rahul can take over the command of the Indian team in this series to be held immediately after the World Cup.
KL Rahul is the first choice for this responsibility. The source said, “The senior players need some rest. And it is not hidden from anyone that KL Rahul is an important part of this team and it is almost certain that he will lead the team.
The good thing is that fans can be allowed to come to the stadium for this series. However, for this, the circumstances of Covid-19 will be taken into account.
A BCCI source said, “We will allow fans to enter the stadium but not in full capacity. We will talk to the local administration and the plan will be prepared accordingly.
Talking about resting seniors in the T20 series, Jasprit Bumrah raised the issue of player fatigue after the loss against New Zealand on Sunday.
Bumrah had said, 'Sometimes you need a break. You have been playing continuously for six months. So all this many are running back in your mind. But when you're on the field, you don't think about them. Many things are not under your control.
