Serena Williams, French Open 2013, Serena defeats Maria, Roland Garros 2013, Maria Sharapova, williams oldest to win French Open

Paris:31 year old, Serena Williams won the Roland Garros women’s title by defeating Maria Sharapova in straight two sets. This is her second French Open win after 11 years. Currently Serena is the top seed players in women's category. WIth this win, Serena became the oldest women to win this title. Truly Incredible!!! The way Williams played was incredible. She was hitting the ball at the speed of 121 mph(195 kph). It was really very difficult for even a great player like Maria to control Serena. She played her best game could could not survive the attacks of Williams. She lost in straight two sets. Serena won by 6-4, 6-4. Last year, at the french open title, Serena lost to irginie Razzano of France, who was ranked 111th in the world. Williams didnt forge that humiliating defeat. This is the reason she said after winnin that "I’m still a little bit upset about that loss last year. But it’s all about, for me, how you recover. I think I’ve always said a champion isn’t about how much they win, but it’s about how they recover from their downs, whether it’s an injury or whether it’s a loss."  Speaking this words, her voice choked, and tears could be clearly visible in her eyes. With this win she has over shadowed that loss and has come as a real Champion. Sharapova was ranked no 2 before the start of this match. It was really amazing to see two top seeded players to compete against each other. Maria already holds 2 French open Trophies. She was a bit disappointed, but also she praised Williams by saying that "“She played a great match and played strong, she played deep, served really good; served better than I did." She also said that "Of course I thought I earned my position to be in the final. I did put up a fight obviously today against her; it was not enough."
