For the last few months, several reports have hinted at the new upcoming IPhone 8 sporting a facial recognition technology had emerged until a Bloomberg report that seems to have concrete leads. The report detail apple’s facial recognition technology and also how the conventional touch ID fingerprint sensor could be replaced.

The confirmed features of apple iPhone 8 also reportedly testing the facial recognition system as a new security layer for unlocking the coming iPhone. The technology doesn’t limit to unlocking the handset but perhaps be used to authenticate payments, launch secure application and more. The improved facial recognition system is based on a new 3-D sensor. The 3-D sensor would ensure that the face is not a picture.
